私たちが来た理由-Introduction-

Toei-cho is one of the mind-blowing places in Japan. We came to Toei-cho for entrepreneurship education by learning and experiencing about society in Japanese countryside, find problems, then propose project to solve them in team. Among several projects being implemented in this hidden paradise, with a charming natural attraction, is naori.

　東栄町は素晴らしい自然に囲まれた場所で、私たちは田舎でで起業家精神を学ぶプログラムに参加するために来ました。東栄町での滞在の中で地域に関する実態を具体的に学び、チームで課題を見つけ、それを解決する事業を提案することを最終的な目的としています。私たちは今回の研修で今まで知らなかった良い所や素晴らしい自然の中で様々な体験しています。今回その一つとして、手作りコスメティック体験“naori”に参加しました。

naoriとは-What Is Naori?-

Naori is handmade cosmetics, made from minerals such as sericite, that is produced in Toei. The sericite mined and purified in Toei is also used by famous cosmetic brands in overseas. It was interesting experiencing how to make our own cosmetics by mixing powder ingredients. After that, we chose any fragrance we liked and then put it inside cosmetic box they provided us. Naori is uniquely special for its natural ability to help us find our inner beauty.

　naoriとは東栄町で作られるセリサイトなどから作られる手づくりコスメ体験です。東栄町で採掘されたセリサイトは、海外の有名コスメメーカーでも使われています。今回私たちはコスメの手作りや自分好みの香り選び、ケースに入れるなどの体験を楽しみました。naoriは自然由来のコスメであり、内に秘めた美を引き出してくれます。

手作りコスメ体験に挑戦-Our Experience – Making Naori-

The powder ingredients are all white. The teacher told us each of their name and benefits. Other uniqueness for the sericite made in Toei is because it is purer than the sericite powder from foreign country which has dimmer color. During the process of grinding the powder, we need to be focused and extra careful to put all ingredients according to the recipe. We ground them carefully, so they won’t spill from the mortar. After the powder is mixed well, we add essential oil for fragrance of our own choice. Then, naori is ready to be used.

　材料はすべて白い粉でしたが講師がそれらの名前と効果を説明してくれました。東栄町で採掘されたセリサイトのそのほかの特徴として海外産の黄色みがかったセリサイトに比べて、純度が高いことが挙げられます。材料である粉をレシピ通りに入れて乳鉢からこぼれないように混ぜました。よく混ぜた後、自分好みの精油を香りづけのために選んで入れました。

体験を終えての感想-Our Experience – Using Naori-

We applied the powder on our faces and arms. It has light smell of nature and feeling of softness on the skin. We felt it is safe to use, because we made it by ourselves, for ourselves, and know all the ingredients we put inside. We feel that our inner beauty is released by using naori.

　実際に自分たちで作ったボディパウダーを顔や腕に塗りました。自然の香りがして、肌に優しく心地よかったです。また、自分で作り、何が入っているかも全て知っているので安全に使うことができると感じました。自分の内に秘められていた美が引き出されていくのを感じました。

◆横山翔平
名古屋大学工学研究科修士１年の横山翔平です。今回私が東栄町に来たのは自然に囲まれた生活に触れて自分のアイデアに刺激を受けたかったからです。今回のnaoriを通して東栄町の強みの一つであるセリサイトの影響力を感じました。

I am from Mozambique -Africa. Iam a Student at Nagoya University. My research interest is Rural Development and Poverty. I am passionate in contributing to the improvement of peoples lives. I had good opportunity for learning local entrepreneurship skills in global perspective in Toei cho. I am so thankful to this opportunity and I want to invite other people to visit Toei cho.
私はアフリカのモザンビーク出身です。名古屋大学の学生です。私の研究対象は農村開発と貧困です。人が人の生活を向上させることに興味があって、東栄町でグローバルな視点から起業家精神を学ぶ研究をしています。この経験に感謝し、より多くの方に東栄町へ来てほしいと考えています。

◆ベロニカ・プラノオ　-Veronica Pranowo-
インドネシアから来ました名古屋大学の工学部で勉強しています。起業家育成プログラムの一環でnaoriプロジェクトに参加し、添加物の入っていない化粧品を自分で作ることを学びました。次回は、研究室のメンバーを連れてきたいと思っています。
I’m from Indonesia. I’m a student at Nagoya University majoring in Chemical Engineering. Through the local entrepreneurship program, I’m glad that I can choose naori project and experience how to make your own cosmetics with no chemicals. I will invite my laboratory member next time.

◆張遠哲　-Zhang yuanzhe-
中国出身で名古屋大学の交換留学生の張です。私は、自然の近くで生活することが好きなので、東栄町が大好きになりました。もう一度、ここに帰って来たいと思います。
I am from China.I am the exchanging student in Nagoya university. I am really enjoy to live a life close to the nature, therefore, I really like the toeicho. I believe that I will come here again.
